Instructions
Please complete Stage A before proceeding. The Prize Secretariat will verify the Stage A nominations before informing the nominated cities via email to prepare for Stage B submission.
Stage B submission
The Stage B submission comprises the following parts:

I Key statistics report |
Key statistics comparing your city today and 10-20 years in 5 areas: - Land area & population - Economy - Quality of life - Modal split for daily commute - Sustainability |
II Detailed report |
A detailed written report in 4 sections: A. City portfolio Information on the city. B. Master plan or strategy Information on the overall master plan or strategy for the city. C. Demonstration projects A selection of 3 demonstration projects to illustrate the success of the master plan or strategy. Projects can be fully completed or completed in phases. D. Photo gallery Photos to show the various aspects of the city, before and after its urban transformation, and the demonstration projects. |
III References |
At least 2 but not more than 5 reference letters (approx. 600 words each) written and signed by independent third parties who can provide testimony to the success of the city’s urban transformation. |
IV Supporting documents |
Optional: Documents to support or enrich the city’s submission, such as city reports, media reports, videos, accolades, etc. |
Parts I and II must be completed using the official templates, and submitted in their respective original formats, i.e. Excel and Word documents.
Please note that Stage B submission may require some time and resources to complete.

Digital submissions only
Please upload the complete set of documents (Parts I to IV) to a cloud service, e.g., WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., and address to leekuanyew_worldcityprize@ura.gov.sg.
All submissions must be sent by 31 May 2023, 6pm (+8 GMT Singapore Time).
The fine print
1 | Materials submitted for previous Prize cycles will not be taken into consideration. |
2 | An incomplete report or a submission that is not prepared using the official templates may be disqualified. |
3 | The Prize Secretariat may arrange and pay for in-person travels to the nominated city for further on-site evaluations if required. |
4 | The Prize Secretariat may also request for additional information if required. |
5 | The Prize Secretariat shall retain all submitted materials. |
6 | Nominated cities shall seek prior clearance from the respective copyright owners of the photos, and allow the Prize Secretariat to use them in an appropriate manner related to the Prize’s evaluation and/or publicity purposes. The Prize Secretariat shall credit the respective copyright owners if the photos were used publicly. In cases where copyright owners were not indicated, the Prize Secretariat shall credit the city. |
